A special puja to invoke blessings of the Triple Gem for the head monk of the Kitchener Laos Temple Ven. Vongkoth was held at the Laos Temple on 12 Hoffman Street in Kitchener on Saturday January 22, 2011.

The Buddha puja and the chanting of Seth pirith was conducted by six monks both from the Laos Temple and the Mississauga Temple. A large number of children and devotees representing about fifty buddhist families in the region and well-wishers attended this ceremony.

All the donations received during the event were used to provide pirikara to the attending monks, support the Laos Temple and the head monk of the Laos Temple in whose honor this ceremony was held.

This was the first event organized by the Waterloo Wellington Buddhist Cultural Association after it was established and the forum to formally launch its activities in 2011.
